Who we are
I’m Aloysius.
The Ascent Space grew from the belief that clarity and strength develop through steady attention to both mind and body.
I am a movement instructor and reflective practitioner with a background in education and counselling training. My work focuses on helping individuals develop greater clarity, strength, and agency in how they live and move.
Over time I noticed that many of the challenges people face are not purely physical or purely psychological. Decisions, habits, and patterns often show up in both the body and the mind. This observation led me to build a practice that integrates reflective dialogue with movement training.
It is designed as a place for steady development, where individuals can strengthen both physical capability and personal clarity.
My background includes over a decade in education, certification as a STOTT PILATES® instructor, and ongoing training in counselling. These experiences shape the way I work: structured, attentive, and focused on sustainable progress rather than quick fixes.
Qualifications
Master of Arts in Counselling & Guidance
NTU, National Institute of Education, Singapore
Currently undergoing clinical training with professional supervision
Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor (Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels)
Focus on athletic conditioning, elderly fitness and post-rehabilitation programming
American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer
Cancer Exercise Training Institute – Advanced Pilates Qualification
